Scott Jones
 Scott Jones, CEBS®, Consultant/Assistant Manager
As a consultant, Scott provides clients with information and guidance regarding all aspects of HRAs, VEBAs, and Section 115 integral part trust instruments for governmental employers. Scott assists with monitoring and improving current plan designs and communication materials. He is also available for group meetings and presentations. Other consulting duties include attending trustee board meetings and assisting with the coordination of activities among the trustees and other service providers.
Scott’s assistant manager duties comprise general human resource functions, setting and achieving company and individual employee goals, and developing wellness activities and programs for company staff. Scott also assists with strategic marketing development and implementation.
Scott’s career began in 1987 as a business education teacher specializing in Economics, Finance, and Business Law. Scott held the positions of assistant principal and career and technical education director for a school district in Eastern Washington before joining VEBA Service Group, LLC in July 2007.
Scott has the distinction of being recognized by Washington’s governor for excellence in education, but he is probably best known for his successful coaching career. Scott is a three-time Washington State Coach of the Year and has claimed multiple state team championships in the sport of wrestling.
A graduate of Eastern Washington University, Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Education and a Master’s degree in Vocational Administration with an endorsement in Professional Training and Development. In addition to his teaching credentials, Scott holds a Washington State life and disability insurance license, and recently received the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania. Scott also received specialist designation in group benefits and compensation management (GBA, CMS).
