Dealing with continuing medical cost increases, for both active employees and retired members, is a major problem.  One of the ways Local 77 has tried to manage health care costs through collective bargaining is negotiating HRA plans for our membership.

On several bargaining occasions, Local 77 has called upon VEBA Service Group, LLC to assist us with getting an HRA in place, up and running.  Local 77 and its members have had not only good, professional help at the table, we have had excellent benefit administration from VEBA Service Group, LLC as well.

Our regional representative, Rich Dickman, is very responsive to the needs of the Yakima School District.  He conducts our annual informational meetings and explains the programs and the benefits of participation in a very informative and easy to understand format.  He is always available to answer my questions, discuss issues with managing the plans and helps ensure that we are in compliance with plan rules.  He visits our district at least quarterly and is always willing to attend meetings when requested.
